Step 4: Final quote, based on real plans
Many people sign a building contract based on a price that turns out to be just the starting point. Then the variations arrive. We do it the other way around. Your final quote is prepared from detailed drawings and engineering, so it’s a much more accurate reflection of what your home will cost.
What your final quote is based on
- Detailed construction drawings
- Structural engineering and footing design
- Site and drainage plans
- Your selections of materials and finishes
- Approval conditions
What your quote includes
[CLIENT TO CONFIRM: what’s included, e.g. site costs, connections, landscaping, driveways, and what’s excluded. List exclusions clearly.]
Why this matters
Variations are changes to the price during construction. Some are unavoidable, like changes you ask for. But many come from things that weren’t known or documented when the contract was signed. The more detail we have before we quote, the fewer surprises there should be later.
Take your time
Your final quote is a big decision. We’ll walk you through it line by line and answer every question before you commit.
What happens next
If you’re happy with your quote, we’ll prepare your building contract.
