Step 6: Processing, approvals and construction
This is where your plans become a home. Once your contract is signed, we finalise any outstanding approvals, arrange your building indemnity insurance and get construction underway.
01
Before construction
- Final approvals and Development Approval confirmed
- Building indemnity insurance certificate issued
- Site preparation and, for knockdowns, demolition
- Trades and materials scheduled
02
Construction stages
Most homes are built in a series of stages. Typically:
[CLIENT TO CONFIRM: build stages and payment milestones used in their contracts.]
- Site works and footings
- Slab
- Frame
- Lock-up
- Fixing
- Practical completion
03
Keeping you informed
You’ll have a main point of contact during construction who keeps you updated on progress and lets you know about any decisions needed. [CLIENT TO CONFIRM: update frequency and method, e.g. weekly updates, site meetings, photos.]
04
Quality checks
[CLIENT TO CONFIRM: quality inspection points during construction, e.g. engineer inspections of footings and frame.]
05
What happens next
When construction is nearly complete, we’ll book your pre-handover inspection.
